About
Heretical Biology
A home for informed speculation in the life sciences.
Heretical Biology exists to give informed speculation in the life sciences somewhere to live. We publish claims that predate their evidence, on the condition that each one arrives with the experiment that would settle it. The reasoning behind that is set out in our thesis.
It is edited by Aayush Chadha, Max Sichrovsky and Alice Pettitt. It is independent and self-funded: no institution stands behind it, and none should be assumed to. Any views here are ours and our authors', not those of our employers.
